Dog poop bags

Please be a responsible Labrador puppy owner and use Dog Poop Bags.

When you start taking your puppy out for walks you will need to clean up after it, I get really cross when I go for a walk in the woods and find when I get back to the car I have dog poop on the bottom of my shoe. I can not understand why some dog owners do not pick up after their dogs have been to the toilet.

Sorry for the rant, but it is one of my pet hates, anyway lets get back to dog poop bags. If you do a search on Google you will find loads of different products for picking up dog poop, there are so many different Pooper Scoopers on the market now I find it quite entertaining. As far as I am concerned the easiest and cheapest way to pick up your dog poop is to buy nappy, diaper sacks. I always found these ideal, they are small and easy to put in your pocket, they are also impregnated with perfume which helps with the smell and they are cheap.

So the trick to picking up dog poop with a bag is this

Put your hand into the bag, grab the bottom of it with your fingers, and pick up the poop on the ground. On concrete, gingerly lift it directly up from the surface to leave as little behind as possible. On grass, make a claw-like circle with your fingers; get as far under the pile as possible, then lift. I must admit just writing this brings back the memories of the smell Yuk, but remember you are doing a good thing by picking up after your puppy.
Use your other hand to pull the top of the bag over your fist, retaining the poop inside the bag.
Tie the bag tightly, and dispose of it in the nearest dustbin or trash can.

I must admit I would always hold my breath while picking up the poop and was relieved when I had tied a knot in the bag I have to say this helped me a lot. So remember when going out for a walk take your dog poop bags with you.
