How can I stop my dog barking at my bird?
ΐ σϻ σωϵϩοϻϵ asked: My dog keeps barking at my bird, I know I could cover the bird cage but then my dog gets his way and it’s unfair on the bird, any ideas on how to stop him? and the reason I’m asking this is cause he always gets a sore throat when he does it I’d perfer not to, any other ideas?

ha ha i have the same problem just put a muzzle on him no don’t i was just kidding unless you really have to um i just let it happen or i keep them separate i took the time to answer your question can you answer mine
Teach him to “leave it”. When he barks at the bird step between him and the bird and growl firmly at him “no” or “leave it”. Then distract him with one of his own toys.
After weeks of not being able to sleep, I decided to check the internet and found a lot of people that recommended “The Barking Dog CD”.
To make a long story short, I popped the CD into my CD player and the dogs stopped barking almost immediately. As on person stated “I almost fell out of my chair when the dogs stopped barking”. I totally agree with them. It worked like a charm. The website is at if you are interested.
