Hello s1monwj – thanks for your comment and question. Dogs are pack animals and, in most cases, the young follow the old. Pirate saw Shane as his old brother and followed him everywhere.

How wild. I never knew you could get one dog to follow another dog in that way. Do they do that instinctively?

Like children, I suppose, having a ‘big brother” or “big sis” to show you the ropes is such a plus. Lovely to see Pirate looking ‘up’ and learning how to potty train a puppy from big brother.

Learning to potty train a puppy isn’t as easy as it’s cracked up to be. I’ve trained alot of puppies but it never goes as smooth as I think it’s going to be.

Pirate is too cute. It’s good to have someone older and wiser show a youngster the way.

Pirate is too adorable! On a more serious note, it is so valuable to have a role model to help in training another animal. I work with cats and having a socialized older cat as a role model helps to show the “new” cat how to act.
