Lab Puppy crate
Why is a Lab Puppy Crate a Good Idea?
A Lab Puppy crate will be one of the best purchases you can buy.
But why you are asking?
When your puppy arrives at your home it will be very strange for it at first and it will need a place that it feels safe. If you use a lab puppy crate you will have far more control and the peace of mind you will get from knowing your puppy is safe is priceless.

Lab Puppy Crate
When I first knew I had been accepted to by Guide dogs for the blind to do puppy walking I was given a list of all the dog training equipment I would receive. The first thing that I saw was a puppy crate. I must admit I thought puppy crates were cruel and I really didn’t like the thought of it, but after Loretta arrived (my guide dog puppy) I have to say it was a god send. Not only was my mind put at rest when I had to go out or when I went up to bed at night. I knew that when I came back to her she would be safe and well.
There is also a real bonus to your Lab puppy being in a crate it will make the job of your dogs toilet training a lot easier.
As soon as you let your lab puppy out of its crate you can take it straight outside to do its business and you will find your Labrador puppy will get into this routine very quickly, knowing that when it comes out of its cage it will be taken outside.
The Lab Puppy crate will also help with other puppy training problems.
The crate is a great way of calming down a puppy. If it starts to get over excited you can calmly put it in its crate until it has settled down.
One really great tip that I was given was to put an old duvet cover of the puppy crate because it made the puppy feel secure.
Another Great tip was to take your Labrador dog Blanket to the dog breeders a week or so before you are due to pick up your puppy, put this blanket in the puppy crate and this will be a great comfort to it.
So if you want your Labrador puppy to feel safe and content, and you want to have a happy start to your Lab puppy training then buying a Lab puppy crate is a great way to go.
When your puppy is older and can be trusted you can then change from a crate to a Labrador dog bed.
