Is A Lab Puppy Cage The Right Way Forward

A Lab Puppy Cage Is the best investment you could make. It will be the most expensive piece of Puppy equipment you will buy but you wont be sorry.

I must admit I had my doubts about having a Lab puppy cage but from day 1, I new it was the right decision.

Yes it will take up some room but it really will be worth it.

Not only will it make your Lab Puppy training easier, it will help in so many ways.It will help with so many puppy training problems.

It will  help with your dogs toilet training. Every time you let your Labrador puppy out of its cage you will take it straight outside to go to the toilet. Your puppy will get used to this very quickly and you will be surprised how quickly you will stop seeing puddles on your floor.

It will also help with calming down a puppy, if your puppy is getting over excited all you need to do is calmly put it in its cage. Your puppy will soon learn that you will not tolerate that behaviour.

A puppy cage will also give you piece of mind, if you want to pop out to the shops you can enjoy yourself knowing when you get back your Labrador puppy will be safe and well and has not got up to any mischief while you where out.

It will also make putting puppy to bed at night a breeze, plus you will get a good night sleep knowing your puppy is happy, content and safe.

A great tip is to put an old duvet cover over your Lab puppy cage this will help it to feel its in a safe environment.

If its possible take a blanket to the dog breeder a week or so before you are due to pick the puppy up and ask them if they would put it in the bed with the mum and the other puppies. This can then be used in the cage and will be a great comfort to your new arrival. If this is not possible then take the blanket with you when you pick up your puppy and ask if you can put it with the mother for a few minutes you will get some of the mothers scent and this will help.

So is a Lab puppy cage the best way forward I would have to say “Yes it is”

When your puppy is older and can be trusted you can then change from a cage to a Labrador dog bed.
