Secrets to Dog Training Review is it any good?

So this morning I have been reading through the entire material on the secrets to dog training website, and I have to say I am quite surprised at all the information and training you get for your money.

I sat down with a cup of coffee and started looking through the site. I then realised that 1 cup of coffee wasn’t going to be enough.

Secrets to Dog Training

Secrets to Dog Training

Firstly I went through the secrets to dog training manual and had good look through all the information.

The manual comprises of 261 pages, these are divided into 8 chapters and each chapter is dedicated to different aspects of your dog’s life. The eight chapters are :

  • what dog to choose,
  • caring for your puppy,
  • different types of dog training methods,
  • understanding your dog,
  • common dog behaviour problems (my favourite chapter),
  • dog commands, dog whispering explained and last but by no means least, health related dog problems.

Working through the sections the one that I found most interesting was common dog behaviour problems and how to deal with them. I really liked the case studies. One of the case studies that they went through was a puppy pulling on its leash. The advice that they gave was really interesting and I hadn’t seen it before. It was to use a technique called the random walking technique.

My friend has a basset called Sidney who is really bad on the lead, when I take him out, he takes me for a walk and not the other way round, by the time I get him home, my arm aches so much from the constant pulling .I have tried many techniques with him that haven’t worked so I  am looking forward to trying this method out. It’s a 10-15 minute training session that needs to be repeated over a couple of days, but I have high hopes that this technique will work.

I also like the dog training time table, it tells you what training your puppy or dog should be doing and sets out when and how log each training session should last. If you have never done any dog training before, this is a must. It’s all very well knowing what training should be done, but it can get very confusing knowing what to do first, also being told how long you should be training your puppy and dog for is really helpful. When you first start your puppy training it can be overwhelming, this time table will really help.

A secret to dog training is a very comprehensive course and it did cover a lot of puppy training problems in a clear and concise way.

One thing that I wished I had noticed when I logged in to my account were the bonus items. If I had looked at this first I would not have had to sit reading all through the info instead I could have listened to the whole Secrets to dog training course.

Each chapter has been put into audio format which you can download on to your computer and listen to whenever you want; you could even burn these tracks onto cd or upload it to your Mp3 player.

I have to admit I am much better at listening then sitting reading information off a computer screen. I find I have to stop every 15mins and I tend to skim text and just pick out bits of information and then find I have lost my place and find myself re-reading the same paragraph over and over again.

Listening to the chapters help the information sink in a lot quicker and I was free to right notes on parts of the training course that I found interesting and I could also get on with other things while listening to the dog training audio.

You could even download the section that you wanted to listen to and listen to it while you are out taking your Lab puppy for a walk.

When you first get your Lab puppy you always feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day, so if the thought of sitting down and reading a dog training manual just doesn’t seem likely, then listening to the dog training audio would be a good option.

My one criticism of Secrets to dog training course was, in some parts of the manual you would be referred to another section and it would have been really useful if you could click on a link and be taken to that part of the course instead of having to scroll through to find the right place.

Once you have signed up for the Secrets to dog training course you can even join the forum and ask questions and talk to other puppy and dog owners about the problems you are having, swap funny stories and experiences, they seemed like a friendly bunch of people.

So if you are looking for a dog training course where you will learn how to get your lab puppy to WANT to be a good dog, and you want a guide that teaches you to train your puppy by NOT hitting, scolding or abusing him then this is the right training course for you.

I hope my Secrets to dog training review has been helpful and not too long. If you have any questions about the course then leave a comment and I will get back to you about Secrets to dog training.

Here’s how Secrets to Dog Training can Stop your Puppies Problems!

What Is Secrets to Dog Training ?

Secrets to Dog Training presents an unusually thorough and careful look at how to both prevent and deal with the more widespread puppies problems and dog behaviour problems exhibited by dogs. If you are an owner of a moderately troublesome Lab puppy yourself, I’ve spent a  large amount of time looking on the Net for a reliable  resources on this topic, and I have to say that the level of knowledge and detail contained in the pages of secrets to dog training guide is unusually detailed for an online book.

Not only that, but (again, unusually for this medium) the information at hand is actually (gasp!) reliable Yes, that’s correct – this one’s an entirely new kettle of fish. Written by an experienced dog trainer, you can relax in the knowledge that all the tips and advice included are tried and tested and come from Daniel Stevens’ actual – life experiences as a professional] dog trainer. There is also a straight – talking, simple to follow 30 – minute downloadable video which provides genuine- life examples of puppy problems along with solutions and remedies to change them.

What’s enclosed in the Secrets to Dog Training ?

There’s a pretty impressive range of information packed into this guide. It’s not just the problem behaviours that are enclosed: the book starts off with new – owner advice ( how to choose a Lab puppy, the best places to get one from, breed information, puppy proofing your home, your first vet visit, house training, etc ) and then moves on to the more advanced stuff : behavioural problems ( such as puppy aggression, dominance, chewing, digging, excessive barking, separation anxiety, to name a few ), intermediate – level obedience, dog training commands, health – associated dog problems ( allergies, cat / dog coexistence, fleas, heatstroke, and so on ), and advanced commands and tricks.

The 30 minute downloadable video gives an enormous insight into a dog’s quest to be the alpha dog and how you can prevent this. Its speedy steps to stop puppies problems such as Dogs toilet training through to leash pulling are so straightforward you can start trying the puppy training techniques on your dog straight away.

In addition to the contents listed above, there’s also a pretty impressive section on dog whispering, which – in case you haven’t heard of it already – is a method of dog training based on a philosophy of clear communication and mutual respect. It’s been popularized in recent years by Cesar Millan (“The Dog Whisperer”), and is becoming increasingly recognized as an alternative and gentle method for disciplining and training your dog. Secrets to Dog Training has dedicated a whole section to dog whispering : Daniel Stevens explains the background of the technique, how to utilize voice and body language to your best advantage, and how to use the technique to calmly, assertively, and effectively correct and train your Lab puppy dog. Step – by – set instructions are included for the common Dog training commands (sit, down, come, stay, quiet etc).

It makes for an interesting read – and, after trying out the basics you will be shocked at how effective the techniques suggested are. Highly recommended!

I Love Freebies (Who Doesn’t?)

There’s just something about getting something for nothing. The freebies included with this book are not only plentiful they’re actually helpful (wow!)

The book itself costs $ 39. 95. For this price, you get a complete and comprehensive manual on training your dog, preventing and handling behavioural problems, and an entire bunch of great tips and advice.

You also get a handful of sensible freebies: which include four bonus books, dealing with advanced housetraining how – to’s and troubleshooting (including both the crate – and paper – training methods); a thorough study on resolving canine aggression; how to effectively groom your dog (including information on coat care for your lab puppy, dental care, and nail – clipping how – to’s); and finally, how to begin training your dog for security work.

As mentioned previous there is a bonus 30 – minute downloadable video which takes a no – fuss approach to practical solutions for dog obedience problems.

Another helpful freebie: a personalized consultation with a member of the Kingdom of Pets team. If you’ve got an issue with your Lab puppy that you’d like some individual attention on, you can send them a quick email and receive a personalized reply packed with expert advice and no-nonsense tips.

Secrets to Dog Training: A Thumbnail Sketch

Altogether, I’m pretty impressed with this puppy training product.
I’m really pleased to report that Secrets to Dog Training hasn’t let me down:

I’ve learned more since reading this manual than I thought possible-It has saved me so much time and effort. Do you know how to stop your dog from tugging on the lead, without using a chock- chain?
Quite a few of the training techniques present a refreshingly common sense, approach to puppy training; others require a little more effort (take dog whispering as an example it gives some pretty dramatic results. I liked the way that more than one training technique is used so this allows you to pick and choose the techniques that you feel comfortable with and will suit your Lab puppy.

I have no qualms in recommending this package to anyone who owns, or is thinking about owning, a Lab puppy. You don’t need to have a “puppies problems” for the manual to be helpful: there’s information included that’ll be practical to any new lab puppy owner.

In a nutshell: I highly recommended Secrets to Dog Training

R M asked: My neighbor works at night and sleeps during day time. The complain is that my dog barks during day time disrupting her sleep. I already received a warning from the city. Due to this I have bought a spray no bark collar for the dog to reduce the barking.
