lab puppy training secrets
Nissa asked:
My Golden Retriever puppy, who is 4 months old, is acting aggressive. When we are outside playing sometimes he will jump at me and bite me. Then when I say no and push him down he starts growling viciously and will try to bite. So I grab his collar to try and pin him on the ground, while doing this though he will scratch my arm and is still growling and trying to bite. It seems to me like hes attacking. How can I  stop this behavior?

My husband loves to play with our Shih tzu puppy and our puppy loves to play…But my husband is use to Jack Russell dogs and I am afraid that he is making him aggresive with children, is it normal for a shih tzu puppy to growl and bit at children when they play! I just want to make sure that my husband is not making my sweet puppy mean! Thanks for any information! :)

My puppy is very possessive of her toys and bones what can I do ?

I have a 6 month old Jack Russell female (spayed) puppy.  I also have a 5 year old male Jack Russell.  She is very possessive of her toys and bones and thinks that all of them belong to her.  She becomes very aggressive toward the older dog when he even comes close to her if she is protecting her “things.”  She thinks everything belongs to her.  How can I train her not to be aggressive without breaking her spirit?

I adopted a pup from an animal shelter.I was 1st told it was a lab shepherd mix then the vet revealed that it could have a pitt in it too.But I wasn’t worried about it.It has been nearly a week since i’ve brought the pup home.He has been peeing and pooping in my house which i can understand and i am trying to teach it.But now it has a very bad habit of biting and i mean biting everything including me.It does not go for a real bite but when it gets really excited it can get carried away.I do leave it in a crate when i am away at work or something. When i picked him up from the shelter he was running around with 20 other dogs including his mother. So it might be why he is acting like that .All defensive and biting everything set it free but once its out it starts biting. What measures can i take to tame it down and make it more social so that when i bring it out i don’t have to worry about people wanting to pet it.
